Listen!

A little Photmanip I did some time ago. "Listen" is my surreal take on the human tendency to call attention. That butterfly thingie over to the right is actually a flying pair of ears.

Morgoth vs. Fingolfin

My first fully digital artwork from start to finish. This is my favorite scene from the book "Silmarillion" by JRR Tolkien. IMO, this is his best book, eventhough he died without finishing it. Morgoth is a VALAR or Deity, in Tolkien's epic legendarium. He is the Master of the more familiar SAURON from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Sauron, menacing as he is is, is nothing compared to his boss MORGOTH who is IMMORTAL. In this scene, he is locked in mortal battle with Fingolfin, the King of the Noldorin High Elves, the ancestors of Galadriel, et. al. Their battle here eclipses the opening battle between ISILDUR and SAURON on the fellowship of the Ring. I hope they'd make a movie out of this, after THE HOBBIT
